During the product development phase many sample parts are required for functional testing. It is important to manufacte these parts as accurately as possible under conditions close to series production. 
AWS develops special semi-automatic devices for these small series applications.
Our groove insulation
By means of the groove insulation device slot insulation papers can be inserted into the grooves of a stator or rotor. Even more complex geometries and insulating elements can be mounted. Moreover, this machine design allows a fast tool change so that this device is also suitable for a wide variety of products. For process control a force-path-supervision can be implemented. At AWS semi-automatic equipment are mainly used for the production of prototypes and small series.
Our support ring
Even with a small number of pieces, the semi-automatic support ring devices pay off. Compared to a manual assembly, they achieve a high precision and ensure the reproducibility of the assembly process.
The devices from AWS are characterized by an easy operation, a high flexibility as well as by a reliable safety system. The device fixes the support shell and mounts it precisely under use of the force path system.

Our slot wedge
Stator or rotor slot wedge elements are used to fix the winding against slipping out.
The semi-automatic slot wedge device from AWS possesses basically the same functionality as the groove insulation device and is mainly used for the production of prototypes and small series.
