Today a broad variety of plastic materials is available which allow multiple applications. These materials are characterized by high thermal resistance or the possibility of small wall thicknesses.
Bobbins
Bobbins are similar to winding caps as they guide and insulate the wire against the core. Through the closed form they offer the possibility of manufacturing air-core coils that are mounted on magnetic cores in a separate step.
Injection moulding
Injection moulding allows the production of multiple geometries and even the coating of complete parts. Injection-moulded insulating elements are mainly used to ensure product rigidity and to allow process optimization.
