Winding systems

Welcome to winding technology systems for electromobility

The choice of the optimal winding technology is a complex issue due to the fact that there are various options in the manufacturing processes. Through our consultation and your selection criteria we achieve effective and satisfactory results together.

Closed stators

The most common stator type is the closed stator. Through the closed lamella sheets this stator has a high rigidity and fulfils highest tolerance requirements.

Open stators

The externally grooved stators also have a closed lamella form. They possess a good accessibility for the winding process through their open grooves.
However, in case of internal rotor motors the yoke needs an additional assembly. Moreover, the inner mechanical connections result in additional electromagnetic losses.

Outer slotted rotors

The externally excited synchronous machine is an innovation for future automotive traction drives. The outer slotted rotor offers similar winding possibilities as the open stator.

Segmented stators

Segmented stators are also commonly used due to the optimal accessibility for the winding process.
However, the subsequent assembly of the individual teeth leads to additional expenses as well as negative effects concerning tolerances.
